Greeley, CO – District Attorney Michael J. Rourke is delighted to announce the appointment of the new Chief Investigator for the Weld County District Attorney’s Office, Michael D. Prill, who officially assumed his role on September 25, 2023.
With a decade of service in the United States Army and a remarkable 27-year career at the Greeley Police Department, Investigator Prill brings a wealth of experience to his new position. His most recent post was as a detective of the Greeley Police Department Gang Unit. He has facilitated over 400 gang-related presentations on the local, national, and international stage.
Throughout his service with the Greeley Police Department, Investigator Prill has been recognized with numerous awards. These include the Colorado Attorney General's Excellence in Criminal Investigation Award in 2016, the Greeley Police Department’s Meritorious Conduct Award, seven Commendation Awards, and five Certificates of Merit.
Investigator Prill's extensive experience and specialized expertise is a welcome addition to the District Attorney’s Office.
