Grand Jury Declines to Indict Lasalle Officer Involved in Shooting

GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – An officer with the LaSalle Police Department has been cleared of criminal charges after being involved in a deadly shooting in January.

The shooting, which left an off-duty Adams County deputy dead, happened on January 16th near U.S. 85 and 42nd Street in Weld County.

The Weld County Statutory Grand Jury has concluded its investigation and determined that the officer’s actions were justified and declined to issue an indictment. The grand jury instead issued a report regarding its findings.
