GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – On Monday, June 1st, Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke issued a letter and report to Dacono Police Chief Jad Lanigan regarding the investigation into Officer Ryan King discharging his Taser at Connor Clare on March 29th.
The 19th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) conducted the investigation which was provided to the District Attorney’s Office.
Based on the thorough CIRT investigation, DA Rourke has determined that Officer King was justified in discharging his Taser during the incident.
Because of a pending prosecution for Clare, no other information is available at this time.
