GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – On Wednesday, March 29, Weld District Attorney Michael Rourke issued a letter and report to multiple police chiefs and Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams in regard to the officer involved shooting of Jeremy Stumpf.
The 19th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) conducted the investigation which was provided to the District Attorney’s Office.
Based on the thorough CIRT investigation, DA Rourke has determined that the six law enforcement officers involved in the shooting were justified for discharging their firearms at Stumpf during the incident on January 4th, 2023.
