Man sentenced to 96 years in prison for sexual assault on a child

GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – A Weld County man was sentenced this week to 96 years in prison on Thursday for sexually assaulting multiple children.
On July 31st, 2023, a jury convicted Alejandro Orozco, 33, of the following charges:
SEXUAL ASSAULT ON A CHILD: POSITION OF TRUST-VICTIM LESS THAN 15 AND AS PART OF A PATTERN OF ABUSE, C.R.S. 18-3-405.3(1),(2) (F3)
SEXUAL ASSAULT ON A CHILD BY ONE IN A POSITION OF TRUST, C.R.S. 18-3-405.3(1),(2)(a) (F3)
SEXUAL ASSAULT ON A CHILD BY ONE IN A POSITION OF TRUST - PATTERN OF ABUSE, C.R.S. 18-3-405.3(1),(2)(b) (F3)
SEXUAL ASSAULT ON A CHILD - PATTERN OF ABUSE, C.R.S. 18-3-405(1),(2)(d) (F3)
AGGRAVATED SEX OFFENSE, C.R.S. 18-1.3-1004(1),(e)(I) (A Sentence Enhancer)-14 Counts
The crimes were investigated by the Greeley Police Department, and it was determined that the crimes occurred over 3 years, while the defendant was out on parole for an unrelated felony.
Deputy District Attorney Clark and Deputy District Attorney Croom prosecuted this case, and at sentencing said, “He not only committed these crimes against them, he changed them.”
As the victims involved were minors, further information will not be released.
