Greeley Man Pleads Guilty in Two 2017 Cases

GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – A Greeley man will serve a 16-year prison sentence after pleading guilty in two cases from 2017 involving human trafficking and organized white collar crime.

Noman Boroumand appeared in Weld District Court Wednesday morning and plead guilty to one count of violation of the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act (COCCA), a class two felony, one count of Human Trafficking naming multiple victims, a class three felony, one count of Retaliation Against a Witness or Victim, a class three felony, and one count of Attempted Sexual Assault naming multiple victims, a class five felony.

Boroumand will serve a 16-year prison sentence in the Colorado Department of Corrections, followed by 15 years of supervised release in the Sex Offender Intensive Supervised Probation program (SOISP). If he violates the SOISP, he will face an additional 31 years in the Department of Corrections.

Boroumand is accused of stealing approximately $1 million from several local banks and national lenders during the time he owned 1st Choice Motors in Greeley. The state shut down the dealership in May 2017.

In addition to the organized crime scheme, Boroumand was indicted by the Weld County Grand Jury in 2017 and charged with several counts alleging multiple crimes against several women, including human trafficking, sexual assault, stalking, and retaliation against a witness or victim.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 30th at 3 p.m.

Weld Assistant District Attorney Robb Miller and Chief Deputy District Attorney Thea Carrasco are prosecuting both cases.
