GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – A 29-year old male has been charged with first-degree murder in Weld County following an incident in Erie on June 21st.
At approximately 1:00 A.M, the Erie Police Department was dispatched to a vehicle crash near the intersection of Weld County Road 7 and Weld County Road 6 in Erie.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a 28-year-old deceased female outside the vehicle.
However, officers determined that the amount and location of blood was not consistent with a vehicle crash, nor was it consistent with a person being ejected from a vehicle.
The Weld County District Attorney’s Office has charged 29-year-old Justin De Nileon Jr. with one count of first-degree murder – after deliberation.
The defendant is currently being held without bond at the Weld County Jail.
He appeared in front of a judge for his initial advisement hearing on Wednesday morning. His next court appearance has been scheduled for September 2nd at 10:00 A.M. in Division 15.
No other information will be released at this time.
