Greeley police officer justified in December 10th shooting

GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – On Wednesday, January 28th, Weld County District Attorney Michael Rourke issued a letter and report to Greeley Police Chief Adam Turk regarding the officer involved shooting of Manuel Cazares on December 10, 2025.

The 19th Judicial District Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) conducted the investigation which was provided to the District Attorney’s Office.

Based on the thorough CIRT investigation, DA Rourke has determined that Officer Clark was justified in discharging his firearm at Cazares during the incident.

Because of a pending prosecution for Cazares, no other information is available at this time.
