GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – The Weld County Statutory Grand Jury issued an indictment Tuesday for the October 9, 2021 murder of Jacob Fooshee in Greeley.
Officers with the Greeley Police Department arrested 20-year-old Moises Rodriguez-Nunez Tuesday night after he was indicted on one count of first-degree murder after deliberation for the murder of Fooshee.
On October 9, 2021, Fooshee was reported missing by his father. Two days later, the victim was found dead inside his vehicle in the 100 block of 30th Avenue. He died from a gunshot wound to the back of the head.
Phone records show Fooshee was last in contact with Rodriguez-Nunez on the day he went missing.
Location data confirmed both were at the scene around the same time. Moises' phone later left the area, while Fooshee’s phone never connected to another cell tower.
The defendant appeared for an advisement hearing in front of Weld County District Court Judge Marcello Kopcow Wednesday afternoon. He’s currently being held at the Weld County Jail on no bond.
His next court appearance is scheduled for August 28th at 2:00 PM for a status hearing.
