GREELEY, Colo. (Weld County D.A.) – On Friday November 3rd, 2023 a jury in Weld County District Court found a man guilty of murdering his mother in Eaton, CO.
Eaton Police department and the Weld County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crime that occurred in 2021. The investigation revealed that Gabriel Faudoa, 34, stabbed his mother 54 times. At trial the defendant argued to the jury that he claimed he was in a methamphetamine - induced psychosis at the time of the homicide.
District Attorneys Travis Winter and Daniel Skelton prosecuted this case. A sentencing hearing was set by Judge Kerns for 1/18/2024, where Faudoa could face 16-48 years in prison. He is currently being held without bond, at the Weld County Jail.
