Officers Justified in January Shooting that Left Suspect Dead

On Tuesday, March 2, Weld District Attorney Michael Rourke issued a letter and report to Greeley Police Chief Mark Jones, in regard to the officer involved shooting of Christopher Dockery on January 19 in Evans.

The Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) conducted the investigation which was provided to the District Attorney’s Office.

Based on the thorough investigation, DA Rourke has determined the six officers are justified for firing their weapons at Dockery during the incident.
